I tried to print my images on the computer but no such luck, quality not the best so I am just putting them on the blog so I can keep the integrity of the image in tact.

As my project progressed I was taking photographs, I started by looking at the remnants of what is left behind when one dies, I then started to look at the vulnerability of the body,  the vulnerability of a young girl, I wanted to manipulate the lighting as I focused the shots and  contrast light and dark, and try and incorporate  shadows.

I wanted to take the female out of the domestic roles that defined women in the past and redefine those roles through sculptural pieces.  In doing so I took traditional domestic materials   such as wool, lace, etc. and contrasted them with Industrial materials such as the roofing felt which I used. In order to create a feminine feeling to the sculpture I pleated and folded the felt and manipulated it until its form was transformed. I think I succeeded in creating an elegant sculpture with feminine qualities. the sculpture itself is in contrast with its base which is predominantly of white lace.
